Moose are everywhere in the Dunière wildlife reserve. The moose population is very high. The hunting success rate is around 90%.

  • The moose hunting period runs from September 2 to November 1, 2025.
  • Moose hunting is limited and subject to a draw to ensure fairness for hunters and contribute to sustainable resource management.
  • To hunt, you must have a valid moose hunting permit with its transportation coupon. You must comply with the conditions stated on this permit.
  • You can obtain your permit at the CGRMP reception office located at 462 St-Jacques Nord in Causapscal. Credit card and debit card payment services are available there.
  • The Lacroix reception office offers certain services and accommodations to customers.
  • Guide services are available through American or modified European meal plans.
  • CGRMP protection assistants patrol the territory.

It is possible that forestry work, wood transport, or other commercial activities are underway during your stay.
